The directors of Nordic medicines agencies gathered in Helsinki

The directors of Nordic medicines agencies met in Tilkanmäki, Helsinki, on Thursday 25 August 2022. It was Fimea’s turn to host the already regular meeting of the HMA Nordic network.

The agenda included many topical issues of the European medicines regulatory network, such as the Joint Action initiative to increase the capacity of the regulatory network and the implementation of new regulation of medical devices.

“We have discussed how we could influence current changes through Nordic cooperation and intensify our cooperation. It is also important to share expertise and experiences of well-functioning practices,” says Eija Pelkonen.

In connection with the meeting, the directors also had the opportunity to explore Fimea's new facilities and meet other Fimea directors.
