Fimea hosts an international training event for GMP inspectors on 8–10 December
The PIC/S virtual seminar organised by Fimea will gather GMP inspectors from different parts of the world to a joint training event on 8–10 December 2020. For the first time, the largest annual training event for GMP inspectors will be organised completely virtually. The theme of the seminar is topically "Distant Assessment".
A total of 420 participants from 52 countries have registered for the event.
“It is wonderful that Fimea has received such responsible training to organise”, says Eija Pelkonen, Director General of Fimea. “In view of the corona pandemic, distant assessment is a truly topical and interesting subject, and we hope that the event will contribute to the development of inspections around the world. With our selection of topics, we want to show that the supervision of medicinal products works also in exceptional times.”
The event begins on Tuesday 8 December and continues on Wednesday 9 December with an identical programme. The schedules have been adjusted so that one day is suitable for participants in the western hemisphere and the other day for participants in the eastern hemisphere. On Thursday, 10 December, a joint session will be convened to bring together all participants and the results of the workshops.
