The Finnish Medicines Agency Fimea will publish a list of the supply shortages reported by authorisation holders. The list of supply shortages will include information on current shortages and supply shortages that have ended over the previous 30 days. The list contains the medicinal product’s unique identifier, information on whether the shortage is ongoing, the estimated start and end dates for the supply shortage, the date on which the information was last updated and the name of the marketing authorisation holder. Fimea will submit the reported information to the list unchanged.
Fimea does not receive information about shortages from the parallel distributors based on the Medicines Act (395/1987), section 27, unless parallel distributor sends this shortage information voluntarily. For this reason, any information about the availability of parallel distributed product is uncertain. Open datafile does not include information about suspected shortages which have come to Fimea’s knowledge and which are shown on data searching pages of medicinal products and shortages on Fimea’s website.
