Effects of postal workers’ strike on Fimea’s activities
Due to the ongoing postal workers’ strike, Fimea’s daily mail is not arriving in its normal manner nor are we able to send any outgoing mail.
The majority of the services we provide are available by email or phone. Please see our website www.fimea.fi for service-specific email addresses and telephone numbers.
Our email address for general matters is firstname.lastname@example.org.

Urgent licence-related matters
You can pick up necessary licences from Fimea’s Helsinki offices by agreeing on this in advance. Fimea’s customer service office is open daily 8.00-16.15 at Mannerheimintie 103 b, 4th floor.
A person picking up documentation must be able to show the authorisation granted to them by their organisation and a smart identity card issued by their organisation to its employees. They must also be able to show proof of their identity with a valid passport or police-issued ID card.
Special licences for medicinal products
See the item posted on 12 November on our website for information on the processing of special licences.
Delays related to deadlines
Fimea will take into account the effects of the strike on deadlines and claims for revised decisions. An appeals body independent of Fimea will assess the effects of the strike on possible claims for revised decisions by Fimea.
The payment date for all invoices sent by Fimea have been given a 30 day extension. Fimea will not send any reminders on unpaid invoices in November, so that our customers will not be burdened with extra charges due to the postal workers’ strike.
