Annual meeting of the European Network of Official Medicines Control Laboratories (OMCLs), 10th -14th June 2013 in Helsinki

The OMCL Network was established in 1994 to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and advance the mutual recognition of test results amongst authorities responsible for medicines in Europe. The aim of this collaboration is to strengthen the control of medicines at a European level, to reduce overlapping regulatory work and to develop harmonized approaches as part of the laboratory practice.

The 18th annual meeting of the OMCL Network is organized by the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM) in co-operation with the Finnish Medicines Agency and the Finnish Food Safety Authority Evira.

The meeting agenda will include timely topics of the quality surveillance of medicines as well as reports and suggestions from the EDQM working parties and expert groups. In addition, the results of the quality surveillance programs completed in 2012 are discussed.
