Research

Fimea's research activities are research and analysis work that produces information to support decision-making, knowledge management and operating practices.

Fimea's research areas are pharmaceutical epidemiology, pharmaceutical policy and pharmaceutical economics. Research and building research cooperation in these areas are statutory tasks for Fimea. Fimea's research is also based on the Rational Pharmacotherapy research strategy, which is currently being updated.

The general goals of the research activities include promoting the wellbeing of the population, improving public health, optimising health care costs with rational use of medicines, and supporting decision-making in society.

The publications of Fimea researchers can be found in the publication archive of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Health's administrative sector, Julkari, under the researcher's name.
